lolI came home today and checked the messages on my Myspace for the first time in days. This is what I found. I slept with this guy about 5 or 6 years ago. And that is as far as it went. Since then hes been in jail, god knows what and had a pretty serious relationship with Michelle. Which resulted in a baby. Now you tell me why he seems to think I care that hes in town. And why he seems to think its ok to hit on me through a myspace messagethumbsdown. Now don’t get me wrong hes great in bed, but he’s also a complete idiot. tease

Soooo tired

yawn

Sooo tired. So very very tired. I work at a hotel. For the last couple of day we’ve had a b-ball team stay here during a tournament. Well actually it wasn’t just 1 team it is the Varsity and Jr. Varsity boys team and the Varsity and Jr. Varsity girls team and the Varsity and Jr. Varsity Cheerleaders. All from one school. The kids are crazy. So far we’ve had some fall down the stairs due to rough housing. One weed accident and one cheerleader caught smoking. But it is the busiest weekend out of the winter. This weekend is probably going to keep us all employed for the next two months or so. The one thing that I hate the most about it is our general manager and assistant manager are on the fritz it seems. They cant seem to get their act together. We keep asking about a plan of action on how to handle certain situations. Mark the G.M will say one thing and then Michelle the A.M will say something completely different. Then we’ll get in trouble for doing what the other says. Its getting to be a little ridiculous. They are usually like this but I would think this weekend out of all the others they would have a little more communication. This is just a small rant from me i guess. Oh and I thing their last game of the day just got over. So I better get back to work crazy_girl

Yum Easy Recipe!

Yesterday we had a Christmas party potluck at work.  I’ve showed you the sign I made for it here.  We were all supposed to bring in a dish. I decided on a Seafood and Spinach stuffed pastry which I talked about in my last post. so here is the hit recipe. I’m sure someone else has already come up with it before, but it was completely new to me soo…

What you will need.

Crab Meat:    (Fresh, Canned, or imitation. ) I used about six ounces. And yes I did return it for the stuff in date. ;P

Shrimp:     I  used a precooked frozen bag.

Spinach: 3 16oz packages.   I used a frozen spinach for easiness. If you really want to go fancy I think fresh would be yummy too. But It should be cooked.

Cream Cheese.:    I used two regular sized boxes.

Ingredients

Ingredients

Pastry Shells: I used a frozen pre baked box of Athens Mini Fillo Shells.

Shells

Steps:

1. Thaw out spinach. Just run it under some hot water and break apart. Then let all the water drain out through a strainer.

2. While spinach is draining. Peel tails of the Shrimpies if there are some. Cut as much as you think you would like to use.

Tail less Shrimpies

3. Prepare your Crab if you use it. Make sure that is in tiny pieces as well.

4. Put all ingredients together in a bowel. (except the shells of course. :P )

Pre mixed

Pre mixed

Mix it all together. I made two separate bowels. One with crab and shrimp and one without the crab.

5. After mixing squish it into the shells. I saved some of the little shrimpies with tails still on to put on top of the ones with just shrimp. That way people will know they are different.

All done!

All done!

Then you have a tasty little appetizer!!. Every one at the party loved them. There were hardly any that I could get to. :D

Crab Meat

Ok don’t get me wrong…. I love Crab. I can cook and eat basic crab legs like no other.

So now for my story:

I came home tonight instead of going out so I could do some prep work on food I have to make tomorrow . Borrrring right? Oh well. Basically what I’m making is a variation of Scoob’s wonderful idea of Crab and Spinach stuffed pastry. Yum. But I wanted something with a little less work. So I thought up crab, shrimp, spinach and cream cheese stuffed pastry. I asked scooby first if this might taste at least alright. He said sure. I bought everything pre cooked. Pastry shells too. cool.gif .
I get home tonight and was planning on making up a little so I could taste it. I’d rather not poison someone with grossness. I open up the crab meat first and this is what I find…….

EEEEWWWW!!

EEEEWWWW!!

I tried to look past all the little nasty looking claws. But I couldn’t do it. There was little legs mixed in and every thing. Now when I usually eat crab legs they are these huge honkin red things. Not little creepy pale and grey things. EEEWWWW!! Then when I couldn’t take it anymore I started to bag in up to take to the garbage. Thats when I noticed eeewwww number like……. 85.
The date is out!! I’m sooo getting my money back. That crap cost like $3.00 a can!! eeeww!

Last couple of days.

Over the last couple of days I have been just slightly busy. Well….. Maybe a little bit more than slightly. So I’ll break it down.

Monday: I drove my sister Stephanie to Susanville. Its about a 45min drive. She had to go over there to apply for emergency cash aid from welfare. I hate that she had to do that but I believe welfare is there for that purpose. Her and her husband Andrew work really hard to keep afloat in todays economy. Andrew is a maintenance worker at a near by golf course in a country club. It snows here, so there is little to do from December to February. He gets laid off for the season. Normally this would be the time to collect unemployment, (that is one of the reasons we pay into it each paycheck).  His boss did the paper work wrong and now they will not get it until his boss gets back from vacation. This put them in a real bind. They were about to get their electricity turned off. She handled it, but the electricity place said that it might be too late to get in touch with the worker who is scheduled to turn it off. I ended up taking my neice Cadence for the night just in case

That little girl is one huge handful. She is 9 months old, cute as a button, but such a mommies girl. She did not like to be away from my sister for so long. Add that to the fact that she was getting sick made for a horrible night from home. She only slept for about 20 to 30 min at a time. I ended up waking with her every time. I was soooo tired! I took her home at seven am tuesday morning. Remind me that I never want to be a single mother.

Tuesday: As you can imagine I was wiped out. All I wanted to do when I got home was fall back asleep. But I could not. I had obligations. I was supposed to drive my friend Summer to Chico. It takes about an hour and a half to get there. 30 miles of the drive is hairpin turns down a canyon and out again. I love the drive but its always a little scarier when you have someone with you. She asked me to take her because she doesnt like to drive it herself, and she needed to take her two daughters with her. She has a two year old and a six month old. Those kids are adorable too. We left at 9:30 am. first we went shopping for a new bouncer for the baby, then we went to find a gaming store to find a special airplane game for an x-box. Her husband is way into video games. Then to the Olive Garden for lunch. Yum. I had lasagna. After that we went food shopping. I live in such a small town that its actually cheaper to drive a hundred miles out of the way to go serious grocery shopping. She spent like $300.00 on food that day. It took hours to get that much. Finally we headed home. We got home at 7pm. I was pooped. I spent some time relaxing then fell asleep on the couch at like 10pm.

Wednesday: Some time in the night I moved to my bed. That part is a little hazy. I was very tired. At about 5:30 am I got a call from my sister. Poor Cadence had been fighting a fever all night. It had just reached 105 degrees when my sister called me to drive her to the emergency room. I hate the hospital here. i would never go there unless I had no other choice. I always prefer to go to Susanville. But in the case of my niece her fever was way too high to drive that far. I got to take her home at 8am. Of course I went back to bed. I am the queen of sleeping . I woke up about 11:30. People would not stop calling me. Who knows what they wanted. I didnt answer the phone. But I certainly heard it ringing. I went to Summers house for coffee. Then did some “spring” cleaning at my apartment. Then back to Summer’s for dinner. We had a yummy garlicky Pasta that I make and Chicken and Shrimp. It was good.

That is what the last three days have been like for me. I’m still tired. And today I’m back at work. Its only 7pm and I’m not sure if I can make it.
